On May 9, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, traditional celebrations will be held on Red Square in Moscow, including a military parade. Leaders of many countries, including the heads of the world’s largest powers, are expected at the event.

Leaders of 15 countries plan to attend the Victory Parade. Among them is the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, the country with the largest economy in the world, Xi Jinping. In addition, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the most populous country on the planet, India, has confirmed his participation in the celebrations. President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, a partner country of Russia in BRICS, will also visit Moscow.

In addition to them, the leaders of the post-Soviet countries will be present at the parade. On Red Square, Russian President Vladimir Putin will be joined by the leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the head of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the leaders of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan Emomali Rahmon and Sadyr Japarov, as well as the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
