Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev shared a photo on Instagram (activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) with a newborn baby in his arms. The athlete and his wife Daria became parents for the second time. The couple already has a daughter, Alisa.
Next to him in the photo is his daughter, who was born in October. The baby’s gender and name are not disclosed. It is known that the birth took place in Nice. The couple did not announce their second pregnancy, just like the first.
Medvedev is the winner of one Grand Slam tournament (US Open 2021), the finalist of five tournaments in 2019 and 2023, and the finalist of the Australian Open in 2021, 2022 and 2024. During his career, the tennis player has won 20 singles victories in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) series tournaments.
Earlier, Medvedev lost the opportunity to reach the semifinals of the ATP Finals, which took place in Turin, Italy. The tennis player lost one set to Italian Jannik Sinner with a score of 3:6. To reach the playoffs, Medvedev had to win in two sets. The Russian’s opponent had already secured his participation in the semifinals before the meeting.
