In Kyrgyzstan, 30 members of a terrorist organization were detained who planned to commit terrorist attacks against law enforcement officers, special services employees and officials, Sputnik Kyrgyzstan reports, citing the press center of the State Committee for National Security. The members of the cell held meetings where they propagated radical ideology. According to the State Committee for National Security, the activities of the cell were coordinated by centers of an international terrorist organization located abroad.

Earlier, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 11 citizens of the republic were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility on suspicion of preparing mass riots . Among them is a former deputy of the Kyrgyz parliament Zhogorku Kenesh. A criminal case has been opened on organizing violent mass riots. During searches, a pistol, sawed-off shotguns, a grenade, ammunition, balaclavas, camouflage clothing, religious literature, fake license plates, bladed weapons and instructions on how to organize mass riots were seized from the detainees.
