The former journalist, who published in opposition publications under the pseudonym Asiya Nesoevaya, was fired from her new job, RT reports. After a scandal in which she was accused of making up stories for her articles, she announced that she was leaving journalism. It was later revealed that she had found a job at an employment center in Kazan.

The center explained that Nesoevaya was not officially employed by them, but was on probation. The girl did not meet professional standards, they clarified there. The ex-journalist herself believes that the scandal that happened to her is to blame. She claims that the center knew that she did not have a social worker certificate, but hired her despite this.
On Thursday, January 23, a Moscow court sentenced former Izvestia na Ukraine editor-in-chief and Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolovskaya in absentia to 7.5 years in prison. She was convicted of spreading fake news about the Russian army. She was also deprived of the right to engage in activities related to website administration for four years. According to investigators, the Ukrainian journalist committed the crime in March 2022 through the channel she administered.
